Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang conducted an official visit to the Embassy of Algeria in Jakarta on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. The visit aimed to strengthen international cooperation and explore opportunities for student exchange programs and scholarships.

The delegation consisted of Vice Rector I Drs. H. Basri, M.A., Ph.D., Vice Rector IV Prof. Dr. H. M. Abdul Hamid, M.A., and Head of the International Office Faridatun Nikmah, M.Pd. They were warmly welcomed by the Ambassador of Algeria to Indonesia, Abdelouahab Osmane.

During the meeting, both parties discussed various opportunities for international cooperation, particularly in higher education. The discussion included potential student exchange programs, academic collaborations, and strengthening institutional networks between Indonesia and Algeria.

In addition, the Embassy provided information regarding scholarship opportunities available for UIN Malang students. The information covered scholarship schemes, requirements, and application procedures for those interested in pursuing studies in Algeria.

This visit marks a strategic effort by UIN Malang to expand its global partnerships and enhance the quality of internationally oriented education. It is expected that this meeting will lead to concrete collaborative programs benefiting both students and the institution.
