Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang welcomed a delegation from the Resalat Al-Salam Foundation of the United Arab Emirates and Egypt on Tuesday (28\/4) to explore strategic cooperation in education, Qur\u2019anic studies development, and campus infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The delegation included prominent Egyptian figures, namely Moh Abdul Hay al Uraby, former Egyptian Foreign Minister and Ambassador; Prof. Dr. Ridho Abdus Salam, Member of the Egyptian Parliament and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Law at Al Mansour University; Prof. Dr. Abdul Rody, Dean of Darul Ulum Cairo University; Abul Fadhl, Editor-in-Chief of Al Ahram; Prof. Majdi Thantowi, Editor-in-Chief of Al Jumhuriyah and head of delegation; Prof. Dr. Tameer Ibrahim, Professor of Linguistics at Suez Canal University; Moh Hanafi, journalist and researcher; and Khalid al Uwami, Editor-in-Chief of Al Akhbar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the meeting, the Resalat Al-Salam Foundation expressed its readiness to establish cooperation with UIN Malang, including support for the construction of a Tahfidz Al-Qur\u2019an Building at Campus 3 as part of strengthening Qur\u2019an-based education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Rector of UIN Malang, Prof. Dr. Hj. Ilfi Nur Diana, S.Ag., M.S emphasized that the university has consistently focused on developing integrative knowledge based on the Qur\u2019an and Sunnah. This commitment is reflected through the development of Ma\u2019had Al-Jami\u2019ah for Qur\u2019anic learning and character building, as well as language centers, particularly Arabic, to promote proper understanding of Islam and spread peaceful values.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe continue to develop productive collaboration with various partners. The presence of Resalat Al-Salam as a potential strategic partner is something we warmly welcome,\u201d the Rector stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Director of Resalat Al-Salam, Prof. Majdi Thantowi, explained that the foundation carries a vision of promoting peace through education, Qur\u2019anic studies, and engagement with global issues. He also reaffirmed the institution\u2019s readiness to collaborate, including supporting the development of necessary infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This cooperation is expected to become an initial step in strengthening international synergy between UIN Malang and Middle Eastern partners in advancing Islamic education, research, and supporting academic facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
