
Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University Malang held a socialization program on the campus academic system and immigration regulations for international students on April 23, 2026, in Malang. The activity was organized to provide international students with a comprehensive understanding of academic procedures, immigration compliance, and campus culture as part of the university’s commitment to supporting their academic and social adaptation in Indonesia.
The event was attended by Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Drs. H. Basri, M.A., Ph.D., Vice Rector for Student Affairs Prof. H. Triyo Supriyatno, M.Ag., Head of International Office Nikmah, M.Pd., and Head of the Academic, Student Affairs, Planning and Cooperation Bureau (AAKK) Ita Hidayatus Sholihah, S.Ag., M.M. Their presence reflected the university’s support for strengthening services and guidance for international students.
This socialization featured three speakers who delivered materials related to immigration and academic matters. Ismawan Mochsen presented material on the supervision of foreign nationals, immigration intelligence, and immigration law enforcement, highlighting the importance of compliance with regulations for international students living in Indonesia. Ajeng Larasati delivered a session on visa processing, stay permits, and immigration status, providing practical guidance regarding administrative procedures that must be fulfilled by international students. Meanwhile, Arofiatus Sa’diyah explained the academic service system and academic culture for international students, including learning systems, campus services, and adaptation to the academic environment at UIN Malang.
The activity was conducted through presentations and interactive discussions, allowing participants to directly raise questions regarding academic regulations and immigration procedures. Through this forum, the university aimed to ensure that international students understand not only their academic responsibilities but also their legal obligations during their stay in Indonesia.
This socialization was held as part of UIN Malang’s efforts to strengthen coordination between the university and related institutions while improving support services for international students. Through this program, Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University Malang reaffirmed its commitment to creating an inclusive academic environment and supporting international students in pursuing their studies in accordance with national regulations and global education standards.
