Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang conducted an official visit to the Embassy of Cambodia in Jakarta on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. The visit aimed to strengthen bilateral cooperation in education and explore scholarship opportunities for students.

UIN Malang delegation consisted of Vice Rector I Drs. H. Basri, M.A., Ph.D., Vice Rector IV Prof. Dr. H. M. Abdul Hamid, M.A., and Head of the International Office Faridatun Nikmah. They were warmly welcomed by the Ambassador of Cambodia to Indonesia, H.E. Tean Samnang, along with Ms. Ray Vicheasophea as Counsellor and Mr. Phann Phrohorsrithy as First Secretary.

During the meeting, both parties discussed potential bilateral collaborations, particularly in higher education. The discussion covered student exchange programs, academic cooperation, and scholarship opportunities available for UIN Malang students to pursue their studies in Cambodia.

In addition, the Embassy of Cambodia provided detailed information regarding available scholarship programs, including application procedures and requirements. This initiative is expected to broaden international opportunities for UIN Malang students and enhance their global academic experience.

This visit marks a strategic step in strengthening UIN Malang’s international network and supports the university’s commitment to advancing globally oriented and collaborative education.
